We’re a shared workspace for socially and environmentally conscious small businesses, nonprofits, and remote workers in Detroit. Coworking at the Green Garage is rooted in community. By becoming a business-in-residence here, you’ll be joining a group of people who want to support each other’s work, make the world more sustainable in the way they work, and connect in a meaningful way to the city around them.
MEMBERSHIP TYPES
Shared table seat
Starting at $75/month
The best option for remote workers or businesses operating on a limited budget. Includes a seat in the Green Garage’s first-come, first-served shared table area and access to all of the Green Garage’s common areas, including the community kitchen, cafe seating and our open-air 3 season room.
Individual desk
Starting at $224/month
Our most popular option, individual desks are the best choice for remote workers or one-person organizations needing dedicated space and storage. Each desk space is defined by half walls and is dedicated for exclusive use by the business that’s leasing it. Desks come with mail and package receipt, access to our four 1-4 person meeting rooms, and access to all of the Green Garage’s common areas.
2 Person office
Starting at $560/month
Our two person offices are defined by half walls and include space for additional pieces of furniture, like a bookshelf or file cabinet. They come with mail and package receipt, a locker, access to our four 1-4 person meeting rooms and our 10 person conference room, as well as access to all of the Green Garage’s common areas.
3+ Person office
Starting at $794/month
We have a handful of custom offices for companies of between three and ten people. With prices varying based on square feet, these larger office environments come with mail and package receipt, a locker, access to our four 1-4 person meeting rooms and our 10 person conference room, and access to all of the Green Garage’s common areas.
Workshop
Starting at $758/month
We have three workshop/maker spaces for makers or product-based businesses. These dedicated, stand-alone workshops, which range from 200 to 600 square feet, have large amounts of storage, plenty of electrical outlets, locking doors, and windows to let in natural light.

The Green Garage is located in the thriving and historic Cass Corridor of Midtown, one of the most vibrant and walkable parts of Detroit. In addition to historic architecture and a diverse residential community, our neighborhood has ample street parking (both metered and free), dedicated bike lanes, and easy access to DDOT and QLine stops. We even have a MoGo station (Detroit’s bike share system) right across the street.
Joining our coworking community puts you just steps from dozens of unique, independently owned shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars, as well as some of the region’s leading cultural and educational institutions, like the Detroit Institute of Arts and Wayne State University.
