Week of February 4
This was the week for the big move of the 9-story water tower from the Dalgleish Building to the El Moore. It was first cut into manageable pieces and then moved down Cass Ave and placed on the El Moore property. The move required a month of preparation, and represented cooperation between Wayne State facilities and police, Barton Malow, STE (The Richter Bros), JJ Curran (the crane company), Pahoa Express, Inc (the haulers), and the Green Garage.

On Saturday the 20th De-tread launched its pilot tire-removal project in the Osborne neighborhood with help from the Osborne Neighborhood Alliance. Waddles Tire Service did the pick-up for processing.

303 tires were removed in about 20 minutes - time to celebrate!

Two signs were put in place where the tires had been dumped to remind people that this is now officially a no-dump zone.
